Overview
1. Early departure (road trip)
* 4:00 a.m.: Departure from the hotel in Marsa Alam.
* Route: The bus will take the Marsa Alam-Al Quseir road, then head west via the Al Quseir-Qena road to reach the Nile Valley. This route passes through stunning mountainous and desert landscapes.
2. Arrival in Luxor (East Bank)
* 9:30-10:00 a.m.: Arrival in Luxor and start of the tour at the Karnak Temple Complex. You will be amazed by the grandeur of the columns, obelisks, and inscriptions that date back thousands of years.
3. Lunch break
* 12:30 p.m.: Lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Nile. Often, the Nile is crossed by a small boat (felucca) from the east bank to the west bank during lunch time.
4. West Bank (City of the Dead)
* Valley of the Kings: Explore the royal tombs carved deep into the mountains to protect them from thieves. The ticket includes entry to three tombs (chosen by the guide based on the most beautiful and least crowded on that day).
* Temple of Hatshepsut: Visit the unique funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built in terraces in the heart of the mountain.
* Colossi of Memnon: Stop to take pictures in front of the giant statues representing the king.

* 5:00 pm: Start the return trip to Marsa Alam.
* 10:00 – 11:00 pm: Arrive at the hotel.
Important information for your trip from Marsa Alam:
* Fatigue: The tour is very enjoyable but physically exhausting due to the long driving time (about 10 hours round trip). Make sure you get enough sleep before the trip.
* Breakfast box: Ask the reception at your hotel in Marsa Alam to prepare a “Breakfast Box” for you the night before.
Tip: If you prefer comfort, there are options for a two-day trip with an overnight stay in Luxor, allowing you to see Luxor Temple at night and enjoy a hot air balloon ride at dawn on the second day.
